SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio City Council is expected to vote on newly drawn districts at its meeting on Thursday.
The city is required to redraw districts to make sure all districts are equally proportional. City staff used the 2010 Census to redraw the districts' boundaries.

Staff presented the new map to the council in August and held several public meetings to explain the process to the public.
If approved, the new maps will go into effect for the 2013 election.
