A popular San Antonio area Mexican restaurant has suddenly closed its doors.
La Fonda Alamo Heights in the 6400 block of N. New Braunfels Road officially closed Monday March 31. The restaurant has served up Mexican favorites since 1958.
KSAT visited the location and found the restaurant was locked with a notice on the door that stated the landlord has taken possession of the premises.
A call to the restaurant went to automated message.
Update: The restaurant reopened July 17 at 8633 Crownhill off Loop 410 between Broadway and Nacogdoches.
