SA city council to vote on 2015 budget Thursday
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio City Council is scheduled to vote on the 2015 budget on Thursday.
San Antonio City Manager Sheryl Sculley's current $2.4 billion budget proposal lowers the city's contribution to public safety health coverage from about $13,000 per officer or firefighter per year to $10,000 per year.
If the council approves this plan, both the firefighter and police unions have vowed to take the issue to court.
The unions current collective bargaining agreement expires on Sept. 30.
