List of National Night Out events in San Antonio

  • The Campus Life Department at the University of the Incarnate Word is hosting an event on campus from 4-7 p.m. on UIW's Dubuis Lawn. Participants will be given information on campus safety, healthy living, sexual assault prevention and drug and alcohol awareness. The event also features free food, games and music.
  • The City of Castroville will be holding their National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, from 6p-8p at Houston Square (500 Madrid Street.)  During NNO the entire City meets. There will be games and prizes for the kids. Members of the Army are bringing some of their equipment. There will also be several food vendors and all of the civic organizations of Medina County attending.
  • The Live Oak Police Department held a kick-off event Saturday afternoon at the Forum shopping center. Participants gathered to check out police and fire vehicles, emergency response equipment and even had the opportunity to take part in a child identification and fingerprinting station. Block parties are scheduled around town throughout the day Tuesday.
  • Mission Road Collaborative, along with Parents' Academy, Child Development Center, Por Vida Academy Charter H.S., Seton Home, St. Peter and Joseph Children's Home and Jewish Family Service, are hosting a National Night Out event from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on the campus of Blessed Sacrament Academy, 1135 Mission Road. There will be free food and drink, a raffle, music, art and craft activities, including spare parts Mini Museum, $1 a bag yard sale, health and safety information booths, local mascots H-E-Buddy, Leo Lion, McGruff the Crime Dog and local civic leaders and dignitaries, including Rebecca Viagran, District 3 Councilwoman, and the SAAFE officer Richard Summerville and Constable Ruben Tejeda.
  • Harlandale ISD, along with Southside United Against a Violent Environment (SUAVE), are proud to announce this year's National Night Out event that will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Harlandale Memorial Stadium (4002 Roosevelt Ave.) on October 7, 2014. This year, more than 1,500 people are expected to turn out. There will be businesses and organizations from across San Antonio handing out information as well as free food, live music, dancing and skits and speeches from political dignitaries and community activists.
  • Alamo Community Group properties are hosting National Night Out events at their locations from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Babcock North Apts. (11800 Spring Shadow); Meadows at Bentley Drive Apts. (8004 Bentley Drive); Castleridge Apts. (8021 W. Military Drive); Cimmarron Apts. (1950 Universal City Blvd.); Cypress Cove Apts. (6100 NW Loop 410); Springfield Apts. (4827 Explorer Drive); Thompson Apts. (1727 Thompson Place); Western Apts. (500 Tomar); Woodland Ridge Apts. (7026 Wurzbach Rd.)
  • The city of Olmos Park will hold its annual Night Out event Tuesday from 5-7:30 p.m. at the City Hall/Fire Station.
  • Jefferson Heights Association invites residents to National Night Out In Dawson Park 2014, Tuesday, October 07, 2014. The event runs from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • HEB is partnering with the Eastwood Village Neighborhood Association tonight for National Night Out. Customers will be given information about the event and how they can get involved to help fight crime in their area. This will be from 6pm to 8pm at the HEB, located at 1015 S. W.W. White Road.
  • S.J. Davis Middle School is hosting an event. The school is down the street  from the HEB.. at 4702 E. Houston St. The event is 6-8:30 p.m. There will be free food, games and prizes for the entire family at this alcohol-free event. Bring a lawn chair. An open microphone will be available for anyone that enjoys singing and performing.
  • The West End Hope In Action Organization are again sponsoring National Night Out at the Frank Garrett Center from 5-8:30 p.m. on October 7, 2014. They will have many great activities for the community such as Zumba Fitness, free drawings for door prizes, free T- Shirt design and distribution for the kids, Art and Crafts, Karaoke, free blood pressure and cholesterol checks, free diabetes  screening, and vision checks. We will also have plenty of vendors such as Beat-Aids, YWCA, Well Mead, San Antonio Fire Department, Cafe College, Martinez Street Women's Center, Big Brothers and Big Sister's, and mothers Against Drunk Driving. These vendors will be distributing information packets to the community. This year, we will have the #1 Mariachi Band performing at our event. It is The Irving Middle School band. We will also, have a live performance by Dane Altasi and his R&B Band. And last but not least, our Organization will be honoring San Antonio Chief of Police Mc Manus for his years of service to the community and for his great support to our organization. We will also have a free Barbecue Buffet with all the trimmings for the whole community including snow cones, popcorn, and several desserts.
