Arrest made in sports bar shooting

SAN ANTONIO – Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at a West Side sports bar earlier this month.

Denver Gonzales, 35, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the arrest warrant, Gonzales was outside the Speedway Sports Bar in the 9000 block of Marbach Road on Jan. 16 when an argument ensued.

He allegedly fired shots into the ground, hitting at least one person.

Gonzales remains in the Bexar County Jail.
