20-year-old shot during robbery on West Side

Victim's injury not life-threatening

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for the person who robbed and shot a 20-year-old man in a West Side neighborhood.

The victim called police to a convenience store near Highway 90 and Military Drive shortly after 12 a.m. Friday.  He told officers he had been robbed at another location, somewhere along Westrock Drive.

Police said the victim told them he was walking down the street when another man demanded everything he had. He said he resisted and was shot in the arm.

The victim then called his mother, who drove him to the convenience store to get help, officers said.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

The robber got away. Police are still investigating the incident.
