Deputies arrest masked man at scene of shooting

BCSO: Suspect had 2 weapons in his possession

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A man who was wearing a black ski mask and had two weapons with him was arrested while leaving the scene of a shooting, Bexar County sheriff's deputies said.

According to Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes, a group of men broke into a home around 10 p.m. Thursday in the 10100 block of Dixon Wood and got into an argument with a couple of people inside.

One of the burglars then pulled a gun and shot 19-year-old Christian Arce, who was taken to University Hospital in critical but stable condition, Hughes said.

The burglars left the home in a car that was at the house but left behind Cameron Carter, 20, who was arrested a short time later by deputies. Carter was charged with aggravated assault of a deadly weapon and burglary of a habitat with intention to commit felony force. He was being held in the Bexar County Jail in lieu of $105,000 bond.

The Sheriff's Office is still looking for at least three other people, Hughes said.

A motive is under investigation and drugs have not been ruled out, Hughes said.
