Renderings of new federal courthouse released

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio city officials Wednesday released three renderings of the new John H. Wood Jr. Federal Courthouse.

Officials plan to hold a news conference on Thursday to provide an update on the building.

U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar will be recognized at the news conference for his help in securing funds for the courthouse.

The 305,000-square-foot courthouse will be built on the site of the former San Antonio Police Headquarters at 214 W. Nueva St.

The total estimated cost of the project is more than $144 million.
