Man arrested after sexually assaulting woman, police say Manuel Cardenas charged with aggravated assault No description found
SAN ANTONIO – A man is in jail after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in her own home.
Manuel Cardenas, 37, is charges with aggravated assault. Police said they responded to a family violence call Thursday night on the city’s Southwest Side.
The victim told police she and Cardenas broke up about a month ago. Police said he allegedly sneaked into her house while she was outside.
Police said Cardenas got mad over messages from another man he found on the victim’s phone. That’s when Cardenas allegedly beat the victim.
The next morning, he apparently tried to have sex with the victim. She said he then put tape over her mouth and sexually assaulted her.
The victim said her two children were home at the time and may have seen Cardenas assaulting her.
