Full 'Flower Moon' to rise in sky tonight

No description found

SAN ANTONIO – The moon is set to put on a spectacular show in the skies tonight. Unfortunately, it may be too cloudy in San Antonio to get a great view.

The "Flower Moon," was named by Native Americans because it rises during a time when plants begin to bloom.

Inverse says the Flower Moon will appear to be larger as it is closer to the horizon, and will shine brighter as it will not cross paths with any planets or nearby stars.

Moonrise in San Antonio is scheduled to begin at 8:13 p.m. KSAT meteorologists say it will be cloudy tonight in and around the city. Areas west of San Antonio should have less cloud cover and a better view.
