SWITZERLAND – Sir Roger Moore, the legendary actor who portrayed British agent James Bond in the popular movie franchise, has died at 89.
Moore's family announced his death Tuesday morning.

The family says Moore died surrounded by family in Switzerland after a short battle with cancer.
In their statement, Moore's three children shared their thoughts on their father's passing.
"We know our own love and admiration will be magnified many times over, across the world, by people who knew him for his films, his television shows and his passionate work for UNICEF which he considered his greatest accomplishment."
Moore is survived by his wife Kristina.
