FORT WORTH, Texas – A Fort Worth police officer was seriously injured after a car slammed into him while he was conducting a routine traffic stop.
Officer Matte Lesell's dash cam showed the officer flying into the air and landing on the road.

He somehow was able to get up and walk and called for backup.
Lesell suffered a fractured vertebra and a hyper-extended foot.
