Firefighters tackle massive blaze at east side motel

SAN ANTONIO – Several firefighters responded to an attic fire at the Studio 6 Motel on the PanAm Expressway early Sunday morning.

More than 20 units were dispatched to the fire.

Officials evacuated everyone from the first and second floor of the motel as crews worked to put the fire out. No one was hurt.

After 45 minutes, the fire was extinguished. Arson investigators are trying to determine what caused the blaze.
