Names of four arrested released

SAN ANTONIO – Four people were arrested after a supposed meetup turned into a robbery and a standoff at a North Side  apartment complex early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.

David James Guerra, 20; Nathaniel Whaley Jr., 42; Ashley Michelle Pelaez, 21; and Bleu Anais Delarosa, 19, were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery.

Officers were called to the Westmount at Cape Cod Apartment Homes in the 13000 block of Blanco Road, not far from Wurbach Parkway and Phil Hardberger Park, after receiving reports of a stolen vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle first went into the apartment before 3 a.m. to meet with a girl he met on social media, according police. Three men and three women were allegedly already in the apartment.

After the victim was accused of stealing, he was beaten and robbed of his car keys, wallet and shoes, according to police.

Police say the victim, a 17-year-old man, was held captive and beaten while the suspects drove his car.

A brief standoff ensued when police cornered the suspects inside an apartment unit. Six people eventually surrendered to police.
