SAN ANTONIO – Human remains were found Tuesday on the city's Southeast Side.
San Antonio police homicide investigators spent several hours canvassing the the scene at 12804 Old Corpus Christi Road.
Officer Doug Greene, with the San Antonio Police Department, said a homicide investigator was following up on a lead in the area.
When the investigator arrived he noticed several buzzards gathered in an area and when he walked over he saw a body in the field, Greene said.
It is unclear if the victim was a man or woman, Greene said, because the body was badly decomposed.
Police said they did find some clothing near the body, but no weapons.
