SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a woman who was found dead in the parking lot of a West Side apartment complex earlier this month.
Authorities said the body of Ileen Diaz, 44, was found just before noon on March 11 at the Westward Plaza Apartments and Townhomes in the 2600 block of Westward Drive, near the intersection of West Military Drive and US-90.

The manner and cause of death are pending, but San Antonio Police Depatment Public Information Officer Nick Soliz initially said that officers were treating the death as a homicide investigation.
Soliz did not provide any information on how she may have been killed or whether she lived at the apartment complex.
Investigators did not have any witnesses, he said, and it would be up to homicide detectives to determine if the victim had been killed in the parking lot or if her body had been dumped there.
