Motorcyclist killed in crash south of downtown identified by medical examiner’s office

SAN ANTONIO – A 20-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash south of downtown on Monday morning has been identified.

Jonathan Augustin Torres died at the scene of a crash at South Flores and Cassiano streets, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A preliminary report from San Antonio police states that before 8 a.m., Torres was driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Flores Street.

The driver of a pickup turned in front of the path of the motorcycle and Augustin lost control and crashed.

An investigation is ongoing.
