SAN ANTONIO – UPDATE, Feb, 7, 5:56 p.m.:
BCSO announced on Facebook last night that the affected lanes were reopened.
A deadly car accident has shut down the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 181, deputies say.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the southbound lanes are being redirected to Richter Road, and the northbound lanes remain open.
Deputies said the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 181 will be closed for several hours.
