SAN ANTONIO – Four people were arrested after deputies served a warrant for an illegal gambling operation in east Bexar County, according to Sheriff Javier Salazar.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 6600 block of Lakeview Drive Monday evening.

Upon arrival, deputies were searching for multiple people involved in the illegal gambling operation, according to Salazar.

The sheriff said the four people arrested face several charges related to organized crime and gambling.

About $5,000 in cash has been seized by authorities so far, and deputies believe more will be found inside the gambling machines.

“Establishments like this are not welcome in the community,” said Salazar.

BCSO says to avoid the area as deputies are still searching throughout the property and will likely be out there for the rest of Monday night.
