Troopers in patrol vehicle sustain minor injuries in North Side crash, DPS says

Driver of the Camry was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries

SAN ANTONIO – Three people were injured, including two Department of Public Safety troopers, after a crash on the North Side.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday. DPS said the troopers were traveling west through the intersection of Loop 410 and Airport Boulevard “with emergency lights and sirens activated.”

As the vehicle entered the intersection, it was struck by a 2013 Toyota Camry, DPS said.

Both troopers were evaluated by EMS at the scene. The driver of the Camry, a 32-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation, DPS said. Additional information was not immediately available.
