2021 Fiesta San Antonio postponed due to coronavirus pandemic
SAN ANTONIO โ The COVID-19 pandemic is crashing San Antonioโs biggest party for the second year in a row. Fiesta San Antonio officials confirmed Monday that the event that was scheduled for April 15-25 would be postponed until June 17-27, 2021. The Fiesta Commission said the decision was made based on recommendations from Metro Health and City of San Antonio officials. โWe are deeply appreciative of the Fiesta San Antonio Commissionโs willingness to work with the cityโs health professionals to ensure San Antonianโs safety,โ Nirenberg said. Fiesta San Antonio Commission working with public health expert in planning for 2021 celebration
SAN ANTONIO โ The Fiesta San Antonio Commission said it will be working with a public health expert as the organization moves forward with plans to host Fiesta 2021, currently set for April 15-25. โThe safety of attendees, volunteers and staff are an important prerequisite.โMakary has assisted H-E-B and the San Antonio Spurs with their decision making to address COVID-19 related issues, according to the organization. 1 priority, which is why the Fiesta San Antonio Commission sought the expert advice from Dr. Makary,โ the organization said in a released statement. โIn consultation with city of San Antonio and Metro Health officials and Dr. Makary, the commissionโs goal is to provide its PMOs support to assist them in their decision-making process.
