Week 2 of the 2022 high school football season featured another batch of unforgettable moments, as Uvalde wins their home-opener thanks to a brilliant play from Jonathan Jimenez, top-ranked Steele takes down Lake Travis and MacArthur earns the program's first win in three years.

Jace Jung and Cole Phillips are just two of the newest local talents from the greater San Antonio area to enter the Major Leagues.

At age 91, a South Korean named Ahn Hag-sub says his last act of resistance against Gen. Douglas MacArthur will be lighting a fire on his statue. He and his small group of protesters are in the minority in a country where MacArthur is generally revered.

“Age doesn’t matter if you keep evolving,” says Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, founder of the Urban Bush Women dance troupe.

The annual Peanut Butter Bowl, held in every high school football season since 2016 as a food drive to collect peanut butter and combat chronic hunger, has expanded to 10 games and 20 different teams this season including a pair of Austin schools.

A local educator has been arrested after a reported incident of domestic violence.Benjamin Cook, head coach at MacArthur High School since 2011, was reportedly arrested Sunday stemming from accusations that he choked a woman he's been dating for more than a year. When police responded to a call at a motel in Early, Texas, officers heard screaming coming from the room where Cook and the victim were staying, mySA.com reports The woman said Cook has previously choked her. Police said she had several injuries, including cuts on the side of her head and bruises on her arms.According to a booking report obtained by KSAT, Cook impeded the woman's breath, which is considered a "higher level offense." Assistant coach Kevin Hirst will step up as interim head coach in the meantime.
