78-year-old Paul McCartney's fitness routine includes headstands and yoga with Alec Baldwin
"I have a very definite routine," McCartney explained on the podcast. The musician regularly practices yoga with a group of friends, including actor Alec Baldwin, that he calls "The Yoga Boys," he said. Yoga and meditation have been part of McCartney's routine since his Beatles days. Today, Transcendental Meditation is a proprietary practice taught by certified teachers. Hedge fund billionaire Ray Dalio took up Transcendental Meditation after hearing about the benefits from The Beatles.

McCartney slams animal experiments in new PETA music video

Billboard debuted the animated video from the Beatles legend, which is set to his 1993 protest song, "Looking for Changes." McCartney, an outspoken animal rights activist, donated the song to PETA's campaign to end experiments on animals. "I'm looking for changes that will continue the momentum of getting animals out of laboratories," McCartney said. "Experiments on animals are unethical -- they're a colossal failure and a waste of time and money.

McCartney adapting 'It's a Wonderful Life' in his 1st stage musical

Kenwright acquired the rights to "It's A Wonderful Life" three years ago, and contacted McCartney about working together on the project, which is set to launch in late 2020. For his part, Hall revealed that "It's A Wonderful Life" is his favorite film. "To give it a life on the stage is an immense privilege in itself but to do with Paul McCartney is off the scale," the Tony Award winner said. Earlier in July McCartney played a gig in Los Angeles during which he invited former bandmate Ringo Starr onto the stage.

At the time, Prince was signed to Warner Music Group and was fighting with the label over the various demands of his contract. Prince then temporarily left Warner Music and established NPG Records, but reconciled with the label in 2014 after working out their differences. While Sony argued that they would have allowed Kesha to record music with Kemosabe Records under the auspices of a different producer, Kesha rejected this possibility. Without being legally allowed to break her contract, Kesha released a new single "Praying" in July 2017, and her third album, Rainbow, the following August. The move came after a major dispute with Arista Records and LaFace Records over the contract they intially signed in 1991.
Paul McCartney asks Texas university to stop testing on dogs
(CNN) - Noted animal rights activist Paul McCartney implored a Texas university to end its purported use of dogs as laboratory test subjects. In a letter published by PETA, McCartney asked Texas A&M University President Michael Young to halt muscular dystrophy research with golden retrievers and release them for adoption. The dogs, PETA said, were bred with the canine muscular dystrophy gene and held in metal cells. Texas A&M University did not immediately respond to a request for comment. There's currently not a cure for muscular dystrophy, the Mayo Clinic said.
