Driver of 18-wheeler loses control, crashes into embankment Accident happened just before 2 a.m. on Interstate 10 and Loop 1604
SAN ANTONIO – The driver of an 18-wheeler walked away unharmed after crashing down into an embankment overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.
The rollover happened just before 2 a.m. on Interstate 10 and Loop 1604 on the city's North Side.
Police said the driver lost control and then hit his brakes, causing the trailer to start skidding. That's when, police said, the big rig went off the road and down 30 feet into an embankment.
The trailer was carrying furniture, police said.
No one was hurt in the accident.
Police said speed and wet roads caused the crash.
