ROCKPORT, Texas – People who weathered the storm in Aransas Pass and Rockport posted photos and video of the devastation to Snapchat as the category 4 hurricane ravaged the Texas coast Friday night into Saturday morning.
Videos show trees bending under the 130 mph winds in Rockport, collapsed buildings and buildings without power.

Rockport was one of the hardest hit areas.
On Friday night, Rockport's City Manager Kevin Carruth said the city suffered serious devastation. Several buildings collapsed during the hurricane including Rockport High School and a senior center.

Carruth said several people were injured when the senior center's roof collapsed.
By Saturday morning, 10 people in Rockport were treated for injuries stemming from Hurricane Harvey. Officials didn't say if all 10 people were injured from the senior center incident.
Rockport Fire Chief Steve Sims said it will be hours before his crew can assess damage to the city.
