The company could be forced to pay thousands of dollars in federal fines, according to release from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Berridge Manufacturing is a company specializing in metal roofing.
The Department of Labor stated the company exposed workers to multiple safety hazards at the company's facility on Fratt Road on the Northeast Side. Berridge employs about 150 workers.
The proposed penalties for the violations total more than $131,000. Similar violations were cited by OSHA in 2007.
President of Berridge Manufacturing Joel Jesse said in a statement, "Many of the conditions identified by OSHA were corrected on the same day they were observed. All of the conditions described have now been abated."
Berridge has 15 business days to either comply with the ruling, request a meeting with local OSHA officials or contest the citations and penalties.
