SAN ANTONIO – No charges have been filed against anyone at this time in connection with the shooting of a 12-year-old East Side boy.
San Antonio police have labeled the shooting as accidental, although they said the investigation is continuing.

The boy, who a relative identified as Jacob Flores, 12, was found with a gunshot wound in his foot, at a home in the 800 block of Nevada Street shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers received several conflicting stories regarding how and where he was shot, according to SAPD spokeswoman Sandy Gutierrez.
Later, she said, investigators determined Flores was shot while he and his friends played with a gun somewhere in the 400 block of S. Pine Street.
"He was being stupid, too. But I guess he got lucky -- real lucky. They got his foot. Nobody got hurt too bad," said his uncle, Adrian Arismendez.
Although the 12-year-old remained at the hospital several hours later, Arismendez said his nephew was expected to be OK.
He said after the shooting, an adult at a home on S. Pine drove Flores to his own home to let his mother know he was injured.
"His friends, they were shaking and scared," Arismendez said. "They act like they're tough and bad but when it happens, they see the reality of it."
While he hopes his nephew's foot heals quickly, Arismendez said he hopes the shooting made a permanent impression on Flores and his friends: that they learn not to play with guns.
