Minnesota man charged in 30-year-old slaying of SA man Robert Otteson, 53, charged in 1983 slaying of Francisco Narvaez
SAN ANTONIO ā A Minnesota man accused of killing a San Antonio man more than 30 years ago has been arrested.
Robert Otteson, 53, is charged in the slaying of Francisco Narvaez. Narvaez was found stabbed to death in a Denton, Texas motel room on Sept. 30, 1983.
The Denton Record-Chronicle reported Narvaez's car was later located in Oklahoma City.
Court records say authorities linked Otteson to the crime through advanced DNA technology not available back then.
Otteson appeared in court Thursday and was expected to be extradited to Texas.
