Woman's body found on River Walk SAPD: Victim probably died of natural causes No description found
SAN ANTONIO – The body of a woman was found Thursday morning along the River Walk.
San Antonio police said a bicycle patrol officer saw a red backpack out of the corner of his eye between Houston and Travis streets around 10:45 a.m. and decided to take a closer look.
The officer found the woman's body behind some bushes.
Police said it appears the woman, who was believed to be in her late 40s, probably died of natural causes.
Even though it appears to be a natural death, homicide detectives will investigate.
A portion of the River Walk was closed while police investigate.
