Gunman sought in fatal shooting of man outside E-Z Mart

SAN ANTONIO – Officials are searching for a man suspected in the shooting death of a man outside an E-Z Mart shop on Jan. 6.

Police said the victim, Arturo Gutierrez, 48, was shot while standing outside the store at 1515 Castroville Road around 8:20 p.m.

Gutierrez was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police said they believe the gunman to be a Hispanic male. He was wearing work boots, dark pants and a black and white flannel shirt.

The gunman was seen in a gray or silver four-door sedan.
