Victim of shooting found dead on curb of East Side street, police say

Police: Man in his 40s had apparent gunshot wounds to torso

SAN ANTONIO – A man was found dead of apparent gunshot wounds on the curb of an East Side Street, San Antonio police said Monday morning.

The incident was reported just before 6:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Center Street, found near North New Braunfels Avenue and East Commerce on the city's East Side.

Police said they found the man who appeared to be in his 40s, dead in the street from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and shell casings on the ground.

Police said they are presently interviewing several people as part of their investigation.

So far no arrests have been made in the case.

The name of the victim is not presently known.

The investigation is ongoing.
