Man arrested after robbing Lyft driver of car, wallet at gunpoint

Emmanuel Maldonado, 26, is charged with aggravated robbery

SAN ANTONIO – A 26-year-old man has been arrested, accused of robbing a Lyft driver of both his car and wallet, San Antonio police said.

Emmanuel Maldonado is charged with aggravated robbery.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Maldonado requested a pickup from the service back in September. Maldonado allegedly asked to stop at a nearby gas station before pointing a gun at the driver and demanding both his wallet and car.

Investigators said Maldonado bought two things from a convenience store using the victim's stolen credit card shortly after the robbery, enabling them to track him down.
