WEST, Texas – A Texas tourist hot spot and beloved bakery had a rough start to the week after a car crashed through the front of the store.
Multiple outlets reported that a car went careening into the front of the Czech Stop in West, Texas, which is north of Waco along the I-35 corridor.

Nobody was injured in the crash, West police told 25 News. Police said the driver “made a mistake,” putting their SUV in drive when they intended to put the vehicle in reverse.
Officials with the West Volunteer Fire Department told KSAT they were notified of the incident around 7:30 p.m. Monday.
They shared photos of the crash on Facebook and posted an update several hours later saying the windows at Czech Stop were boarded up but that the bakery was still open for business.
“Don’t let last night’s accident keep you from stopping in West for your sweet treat,” WVFD officials said.
The Czech Stop and Little Czech Bakery opened in 1983 and is known for its kolaches, klobasnek and strudels.
Jake Scott, a customer and commuter from Fort Worth to Waco, told KWTX he’s been visiting since the Czech Stop opened.
“Food is always good, and I don’t take customers anything else. This is what they want,” said Scott.
