Tens of millions of Americans have 401k retirement plans. But lately it’s been a little scary to look at those monthly statements due to the ups and downs of the economy.
So what you should be thinking about for your retirement plan now?
Uncertainty in the markets shouldn’t force you into quick decisions about what to do with your money.
Farnoosh Torabi, an editor at large at CNET Money, says you shouldn’t make changes just because you see stocks falling on TV. Torbai says the good news is there are more positive days in the market than there are negative days over the long run.
Now, if you do want to make some changes, you should get some help.
Working with a certified financial expert is the best way to go if you’re looking for resources, or if you just want to talk to someone for a better understanding of what’s going on in your portfolio.
