Several displaced after multi-agency fire in northeast Bexar County

Converse, Bexar County, and at least four other fire departments responded to the fire

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Multiple agencies responded late Monday to a duplex fire in northeast Bexar County.

The fire was reported around 11:55 p.m. at a duplex in the 8400 block of Forest Ridge Drive.

Converse, Bexar County, and at least four other fire departments responded to the fire. Flames were visible through the roof of one of the units when crews arrived.

Both families got out of their homes uninjured. Part of the chimney and roof on the unit collapsed. A firefighter from one of the agencies present was checked out by EMS, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. A damage estimate from the fire is unclear.
