1 killed in shooting at NW Side apartment complex

Shooting reported at The Branch at Medical Center on Snowden Road

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot and killed Wednesday morning at an apartment complex on the city's Northwest Side.

Police Chief William McManus said the victim was found on the balcony of a unit around 8:30 a.m. at The Branch at Medical Center in the 7200 block of Snowden.

McManus said the shooting was triggered by an altercation between two groups of people who have been involved in an ongoing feud.

"The group of four showed up. The altercation ensued. Shots were fired. People ran," McManus said. "I don't know which of the individuals fired first or who shot second. But there were plenty of shots exchanged."
