Woman assaulted, shot in parking lot of downtown motel, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A woman in her 20s was assaulted and shot in the parking lot of a downtown motel early Monday morning, San Antonio police said. Officers were called around 1:30 a.m. to the Days Inn by Wyndham San Antonio Alamo/Riverwalk in the 900 block of East Houston Street after receiving reports of a shooting. According to police, the woman was staying at the motel and was in the parking lot when three cars pulled into the lot. That’s when, police said, three individuals got out of their cars and an argument with the woman ensued. The woman tried to get up and one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot her in the left shoulder, police said.
Man hit by vehicle on San Antonio’s East Side identified by ME’s office
SAN ANTONIO – A 33-year-old man who died after he was hit by a vehicle late Wednesday has been identified. William Gamez died of blunt force injuries following the accident in the 4000 block of East Houston Street, not far from East Commerce Street on the city’s East Side. According to SAPD, Gamez was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle. A white vehicle fled following the collision, police said. Man in critical condition after being hit by vehicle, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 30s is hospitalized after being hit by vehicle late Wednesday night, San Antonio police said. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. in the 4000 block of East Houston Street, not far from East Commerce Street on the city’s East Side. According to police, the man was simply crossing the street when he was struck by the vehicle. Police said they were given a description of a white vehicle that fled following the collision. The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department, and EMS all answered the call.
19-year-old shot 3 times while driving on East Side, police say
SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old was taken to an area hospital after being shot multiple times while driving on the city’s East Side late Tuesday night, San Antonio police said. According to police, another vehicle pulled up to the victim’s car while near AT&T Parkway and Belgium Lane and fired several shots, striking the teen three times in the back. Police said a passenger inside the victim’s vehicle was not injured and did not recognize the suspects. Authorities say the passenger told them that the suspects fled in a white or silver vehicle following the shooting. Both the driver and the passenger said they had no idea as to why someone would shoot at them, police said.

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Whispering Creek Drive and Argonne Drive on the East Side. The driver of the car the boy was riding in told police they were traveling near an intersection when another vehicle drove near them. A male in the backseat of the victims’ car ran away from the shooting.
UPDATE: Houston water boil advisory lifted, officials say
HOUSTON – After an 8-foot diameter water main pipe burst in east Houston Thursday, sparking a days-long boil water advisory, city officials said Saturday it is no longer necessary to boil your water. The City of Houston lifted the boil water notice that has been in place since Thursday, Feb. 27. Houston residents no longer need to boil water used for drinking, cooking and making ice, according to city officials. Water quality testing submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality confirmed that tap water meets all regulatory standards and is safe to drink. DNA links credit card skimmers found at East Side gas...
SAN ANTONIO - A man is facing 10 felonies following an investigation into credit card skimmers at a local gas station. Police said DNA evidence tied Yosmany Alba-Labrada, 29, to the case. According to an affidavit, three skimmers were found in January at a Circle K on the East Side near the intersection of East Commerce and East Houston streets. Police said DNA from the scene matched with the suspect. Investigators also noted that the skimmers found at the same gas station in February also matched with the suspect.
