Thousands of people gathered for the 41st annual Ford Holiday River Parade at the San Antonio River Walk on Friday.

The Federal Aviation Administration is warning people about the hazards of holiday laser lights and urging decorators to keep the lights pointed down on their houses or the ground, and not up in the sky.

The University of the Incarnate Word hosted its annual Light The Way Holiday Festival as the official holiday start event for San Antonio.

SAN ANTONIO – If you’ve taken a stroll down the famous San Antonio Riverwalk you may have noticed a little more sparkle. The holiday lights along the Riverwalk has attracted visitors for decades. Maggie Thompson, Executive Director with the San Antonio Riverwalk Association said they’re hoping to shed some light following a dark year. She hopes the lights will give people a sense of joy that usually comes with the holidays. The lights will stay up through Valentines Day.
