Man hospitalized after being struck by two vehicles while trying to cross Loop 410, police say
SAN ANTONIO โ A man is hospitalized and in critical condition after he was struck by two vehicles while trying to cross the eastbound lanes of Loop 410, according to San Antonio police. The incident happened around 10:30 p.m., Friday, on Military Drive and Loop 410. Officials said the first vehicle hit the man as he was crossing the roadway and the driver pulled over to render aid. Major closures on Loop 410 planned for this weekend in West San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO โ Attention drivers โ you may need to adjust your routes this weekend. The Texas Department of Transportation has announced major closures on I-410 in West San Antonio to install steel beams and continue construction on flyover ramps. Drivers that are traveling southbound on Loop 410 will be detoured to the frontage roads before Military Drive. Then, drivers can re-enter the main lanes after the Marbach Road intersection, according to TxDOT. Officials say drivers traveling eastbound will be detoured to the peripheral streets.
Man killed after being struck by vehicle on West Side, police say
SAN ANTONIO A man was fatally struck by a vehicle overnight on the West Side when trying to walk across the eastbound lanes of I-410, according to San Antonio police. Officials said the man, who was in his 50s, was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of I-410 when a vehicle hit him. The driver of the vehicle claims they didnt see the man until the last second before impact, police said. The driver did stop to render aid, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities. Police said the driver will not be charged in the incident, as its being ruled an accident.
Man in serious condition after falling down embankment off of I-410, police say
SAN ANTONIO One man is in serious condition after San Antonio police said he jumped a wall divider and rolled down an embankment on the eastbound side of I-410. Police officers pulled over the driver of a vehicle, who was traveling eastbound on the westbound lanes on I-410. Three of the people jumped the wall on the eastbound side of I-410 and ran down the embankment to the Circle K on Ingram Road, police said. One man fell down the embankment after he jumped, which was about a 20-foot drop, according to authorities. The man suffered head trauma and was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

SAN ANTONIO San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus is headed to a search scene where officers said a woman was found dead near a frontage road on the Southeast Side. The woman was found Sunday morning near a brushy area off of a frontage road on I-410 and I-37. Officers were seen searching the area for quite some time. Westbound frontage road left lane between Bulverde Road and Redland Road for embankment work. Houston St., turn around, and take the northbound frontage road to Ackerman Road. The right northbound frontage road lane between Marbach Road to Meadow Leaf Drive for installing an electric service pole. DETOUR: Traffic traveling west on Marbach Road will be detoured to the northbound frontage road and turnaround at SH 151 to access southbound I-410 frontage road. Traffic traveling east on Marbach Road will be detoured to the southbound frontage road and utilize the east and northbound cloverleafs to access the I-410 northbound frontage road.
