Magik Theater resumes live performances
SAN ANTONIO Now that live performances are allowed to resume, the Magik Theatre is picking up where it left off with new performances of the bestselling childrens book, Dragons Love Tacos.The show debuted over the spring but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Dave & Busters reopens 1 of 2 San Antonio locationsFeaturing iconic characters, salsa dancing and of course, tacos, the production will welcome back audiences beginning Saturday through June 21. The theater will follow state guidelines for Phase III reopening and will only seat 50% of the buildings capacity for now. Additional safety measures will also be in place, including new social distancing practices and face mask requirements.
Edgewood ISD serves 150K+ meals to students as campuses remain closed
SAN ANTONIO – More than 150,000 meals have been handed out to students in the Edgewood Independent School District as area schools near six weeks of distant learning due to the pandemic. A spokesperson with Edgewood said a total of 152,081 meals have been handed out, including 66,610 breakfast meals, 82,239 lunches and 3,232 snacks. “We are so proud of our child nutrition staff for all of their work,” the spokesperson said.
