Following a briefing on the the current legislative session, District 8 Councilman Manny Pelaez highlighted the fact that the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce had testified in favor of a pair of bills the city has been fighting.

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will host a virtual federal legislative discussion on Tuesday afternoon.

For several months, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has been working behind the scenes, helping support its members. Before the pandemic, SAHCC would hold in person networking events for members to expand their businesses. Now the chamber holds virtual events to create partnerships for members to be able to keep their businesses open. Gonzales said it’s going to take a joint effort between local leadership and the community to rally behind our local businesses to stay afloat through the pandemic. “Confidently get out there and safely get out there and support your favorite local coffee shop, you favorite local restaurant or you favorite local retail store, those are the ones suffering a lot,” Gonzales said.

SAN ANTONIO Marina Gonzales has been named the new president and CEO of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Gonzales most recently served as president and CEO of Child Advocates San Antonio. Her connections with the San Antonio community and her strategic leadership will transform our organization.
