The series was created to bring attention to global vaccine access in an effort to end the COVID-19 pandemic. “Pandemica is a compelling illustration of the inequality around the world,” Cruz said.

But Lear was modest as he accepted the Carol Burnett Award for his decades of achievement — and the decades themselves — at Sunday's virtual Golden Globes ceremony. “I've had a lifetime of partners, performers, associations and creative talents for which I am eternally grateful,” Lear said, adding there would be “an entirely different Norman Lear here with you tonight” without them. The Carol Burnett Award is an honorary Golden Globe given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for outstanding contributions to television.
Out magazine names Lizzo, Monae, Maddow to its Out100 list
NEW YORK – Award-winning singers Lizzo and Janelle Monae, Apple CEO Tim Cook and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow have made Out magazine’s 2020 Out100 list. Honorees will be celebrated Saturday at the first 2020 Out100 Virtual Honoree Induction Ceremony, which will stream live at 8 p.m. EDT at Out.com/Out100Live. Others who made this year’s list include Donald Trump’s niece, the psychologist and author Mary Trump, former baseball player Billy Bean, teen rapper Kidd Kenn and actors Lili Reinhardt, Cheyenne Jackson, Jonathan Bennett and Dashaun Wesley.
