Viewer wants to know why wheelchair ramps installed in his neighborhood donโt connect to any sidewalks
SAN ANTONIO โ This past August, the KSAT Defenders were contacted by viewer Steve Rico who had questions about some new wheelchair ramps that were being installed in his Southeast Side neighborhood. โWhat bothered me was because they hadnโt fixed the street and they were spending all this money on all of these wheelchair ramps and they didnโt lead to nowhere,โ Rico said. โI mean, some of the ramps, the wheelchair ramp is here but thereโs grass on both sides. These wheelchair ramps have been replaced several times, but weโve never seen sidewalks,โ Rico said. โSo when the original developer of this neighborhood put in (the original ramps), I donโt know what he did it for.
