A man has been found guilty of a murder outside a downtown bar nearly five years ago.
A jury returned the guilty verdict Wednesday afternoon against 24-year-old Mark Anthony Garcia for the shooting death of 36-year-old Angelo Morales.
Prosecutors argued Garcia shot Morales in December 2008 after the two men got into a fight over a woman at the Half Shell Oyster Bar.
Garcia's first trial six months ago ended in a deadlocked jury and a mistrial. A second jury deliberated for 13 hours before Garcia was found guilty.
The punishment phase in Garcia's trial begins Thursday morning. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
