A young boy who drowned in the Medina River Sunday afternoon has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.
Emmanuel Rojas, 9, was pronounced dead at 2:31 p.m. Sunday at Southwest General Hospital.
Bexar County sheriff's deputies and paramedics responded to the reported drowning around 2 p.m. in the Medina River along the 9300 block of Nelson Road.
Rojas was rushed to the hospital, but died a short time later. Bexar County deputies have not released any further information about how Rojas drowned.
