Kids lace up for Hershey's Track & Field Games
San Antonio children laced up their track shoes and hit the ground running Saturday morning for the Hershey's Track and Field Games.
The event, held at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex, featured kids ages 9-14 competing in a variety of events.
The winners in relays, standing long jump, the 50-meter dash and more will move on to the next level of competition.
"If they compete here and go on and do well, they go to a state competition that will be held in Round Rock, Texas in the month of June," said program director Jeronimo Aguirre.
From there, the winners will go on to the national competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
