San Japan hosting 7th-annual convention

SAN ANTONIO – Downtown San Antonio has been inundated by characters from movies and video games.

The seventh-annual San Japan Anime Convention is going on this weekend.

"It is just growing more and more popular, which is great," said Jessi Arntz, a convention vendor.

Convention-goers dress up like their favorite Japanese anime characters or their favorite video game characters.

There is Eastern culture-based art, vendors and special guest speakers.

Organizers are expecting 12,000 convention-goers over the weekend.
