Man faces DWI charge after fleeing from police

SAN ANTONIO – Police have caught up with a driver who they said was trying to outrun them overnight.

They said an officer spotted a reckless driver around 2:20 a.m. Friday speeding away from a bar on Marbach Road. 

When the officer tried to pull him over, the driver sped up instead.

Police then followed the man down Marbach to Loop 410. 

The driver ended up hitting a curb and blowing a tire. Officer were then able to catch up to the suspect. 

The man is now facing charges of DWI and evading arrest.
