Police said when they arrived, they found both the man and the woman dead at the scene.

According to police, the woman, identified as Rose Lee Rodriguez, 45, had been dropped off at the home Friday morning by a friend when the man pulled up in a white sport utility vehicle and began arguing with her. That's when, police said, the man pulled out a revolver and fired several shots, hitting Rodriguez several times.

The suspect, 46, then shot and killed himself, police said. Authorities said they believe the pair had been involved in a relationship previously, but that Rodriguez ended the relationship months ago.

Witnesses from the scene said relatives were inside the home at the time of the shooting, including Rodriguez's mother who has dementia, when the ex-boyfriend showed up.

The police are presently working to notify the next-of-kin, and the names have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
