Investigators waiting on autopsy results of man who died in Medina River

BANDERA COUNTY, Texas – Investigators in Bandera County are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine what may have caused a man to die in the Medina River.

The Bandera County Sheriff's Office said 45-year-old Justin Rogers died after he fell into the Medina River in Pipe Creek.

The Sheriff's Office said Rogers was near the water with his niece when he fell in and never resurfaced. Family members were able to pull him out of the water but were not able to revive him.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating this as an accident.
